Apukka Resort is looking for Safari Guides for the 2025–2026 season. Your role will be to guide guests in winter activities, including snowmobile safaris, ice fishing trips, snowshoe hikes, e-Fatbike tours, and various Northern Lights excursions.¨

As a Safari Guide at Apukka Resort, you are the storyteller, the adventure leader, and the friendly face that guests trust in the middle of the Arctic wilderness. Your role is diverse and dynamic – no two days are the same, and every guest brings a new experience. Most of your work takes place outdoors in the stunning nature of Finnish Lapland. Your main responsibilities may include:
• Snowmobile Safaris: Introducing guests to the basics of snowmobiling, helping with gear, and guiding groups safely through snowy landscapes while ensuring a fun and informative experience.
• Northern Lights Tours: Taking guests into the quiet darkness to hunt for auroras, sharing scientific facts and local legends, and creating magical moments under the Arctic sky.
• Snowshoeing: Leading guests into the peaceful forests on foot or skis, interpreting tracks in the snow, and teaching about Lapland’s nature and wildlife.
• Customer Service & Coordination: Being present throughout the guest journey – from greeting and gearing up to guiding, answering questions, and even helping guests capture the perfect photo. This job is a mix of physical activity, storytelling, nature interpretation, and hospitality. While previous experience is a plus, the most important qualities are a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for creating unforgettable memories for our international guests.

Working hours: 120 hours per 3 weeks, full-time, with part-time options also available. The work is done in two shifts and includes all days of the week, including weekends. Start date: Either at the beginning of September (depending on the applicant’s skills and experience) or at the beginning of November. 
Duration: This is a fixed-term position until 31.3.2026.

• Prior experience as a safari guide
• Proficiency in French, Spanish, or German
